SmartMed has developed a medication app that allows pharmacies to maintain a digital patient relationship. The SmartMed forYou app is available to all pharmacies using SmartMed Pharmacy's pharmacy information systems (FarmaSys 5 and 6). With SmartMed forYou, patients can access their Current Medication Overview (AMO) via smartphone, order repeat medication and see real-time status of their orders. And that saves a lot of phone calls!
In the app, which can be downloaded free of charge, all current information about medicine use is available to the patient at any time and anywhere. The app also contains information leaflets and KIJKsluiters and offers the possibility of ordering repeat medication quickly and easily.
SmartMed will continue to develop and innovate the patient app. For example, patients will soon be able to add medication independently, manage their own supply and set medication reminders. In addition, independently registering side effects of medication will be an option and users will be able to contact their pharmacist through the app via image calling or the chat function.
Patients of FarmaSys pharmacies who use SmartMed forYou can download the app on their smartphones via the Google Play Store (Android) and the Appstore (iOS). After the patient has indicated to the pharmacy that they would like to use the app, the pharmacy can activate the app based on the verification of personal data. After this, the app is ready for use.
